Cumulus Broadcasting – Official Contest Rules
The following constitutes Contest Rules, both on and off air, on all Cumulus Broadcasting Stations.
1. All Cumulus Broadcasting stations’ contest are open to any/all listeners, unless otherwise specified by Cumulus Broadcasting Stations or its affiliates. Employees of Cumulus Broadcasting or any other radio stations are not eligible to win.
2. Any cash prizes or prizes valued over $50.00 an individual may win once per six-month period on any Cumulus Broadcasting station. Winners will only be allowed to win a prize valued under $50.00 every thirty-days.
3. A winner may only win one prize under $50.00 value every thirty-days.
4. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after 2 weeks. Cumulus Broadcasting will not notify winners of the time remaining on their prize. It’s the responsibility of the winner to claim the prize with the 14-day period.
5. Cumulus Broadcasting is at liberty to give away any unclaimed prizes at the end of the two-week grace period.
6. Winners must sign a release prior to receiving their prize.
7. All major prizes will be given away. Odds of winning will depend on the number of qualified entries. Purchase is not necessary to win.
8. Cumulus Broadcasting Stations may substitute another prize of equal value, in the event of non-availability of a prize.
9. In the case of a dispute, the decision of Cumulus Broadcasting stations is final.
10. In the event that two telephone lines are tied together during a phone contest, the entire phone call will be disqualified and another phone call will be taken. Cumulus Broadcasting stations can not award duplicate prizes to both parties in a “Tied together” situation.
11. Employees of Cumulus Broadcasting Stations, its advertising agencies, their affiliates, representatives, other radio stations and their families or households are ineligible to enter or win.
12. Prizes will be mailed at the desecration of Cumulus Broadcasting. Cumulus Broadcasting Stations are not responsible for the failure or tardiness of prizes delivered by the US Postal Service. Prizes must be claimed in person. A self-addressed stamped envelope with the proper postage may be sent to the business office of the station to be sent back to the winner if the prize value is under $25.00.
13. In certain “unique situations”, a designated representative will be allowed to accept prize for the winner. Written authorization from the winner including the representative’s name, ID and a photocopy of the winners drivers license is required on prizes valued over $25.00.
14. Cumulus Broadcasting is not responsible for defective prizes.
15. Additions or deletions to any rules may be made at the discretion of Cumulus Broadcasting stations and may be enacted at any time without notice to winners.
16. All winners must be 18 years of age or older.
17. Cumulus Broadcasting Stations, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors or representatives absolve themselves of any liability, financial or otherwise, resulting from any on or off-air contests staged by Cumulus Broadcasting stations.
18. All contest entries become the property of Cumulus Broadcasting. Furthermore, Cumulus Broadcasting stations may withhold any contest materials crucial to the completion of the contest.
19. All contestants acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that Cumulus Broadcasting stations has the right to publicize, or broadcast the winner’s name, character, likeness, voice or all matters incidental herein.
20. All prizes are non-transferable and void where prohibited by law. No cash substitutions of prizes will be received.
21. Winners understand and agree that they are responsible for any and all taxes incurred on prizes received.
22. In the event that a winner chooses not to accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claims to that prize. Cumulus Broadcasting then has the right, as its discretion, to award that prize to a contest runner-up.
23. Sweepstakes/contest are open to U.S. Residents only.
24. Cumulus Broadcasting stations, Sponsors and promotional partners are not responsible for any typographical, miss announced, printing or any other errors in its contesting.
